  • A hospital near Sacramento is looking for an experienced Cardiovascular ICU RN for a travel contract.
  • The right candidate will have 2 years of experience, hold an active BLS, ACLS, NIHSS and a CA License.
    • Job Requirements
    • 2 years of experience in Cardiac ICU
    • Active BLS certification
    • Active ACLS certification
    • Active NIHSS certification
    • California state nursing license required
      • Schedule Information
      • 12 hr shifts
      • Shift starts at 645
      • Report is at the bedside
      • OT and extra shifts are available
      • Self-scheduling is used, but is not finalized until Manager balances it
      • Schedules are out 4 weeks
      • Travelers can access their schedules from home and make themselves available for extra shifts and make trades with other staff
      • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
      • Holidays: Rotate in with core staff
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Floating: All other Sacramento facilities; mid-shift float to another facility is rare, but can happen; travelers float first
        • Floor specific orientation: 1 - 2 days on the floor with preceptor
        • Common diagnosis / Types of patients: AMI, AVR, MVR, respiratory failure, renal failure, IABP, CRRT, Empella, therapeutic hypothermia; chest tube insertion, intubation, and emergency sternotomies are common procedures
          • Additional Details
          • ACLS, BLS, NIHSS; Med Sol prescreens
          • Need 2 supervisory references (charge accepted) at submittal; 1 within 12 months & 1 within 3 years worked
          • Modules are required to be completed before start; Modules take 3-4 hours - not billable
          • Candidates may not have been directly employed by any facility associated with CommonSpirit within the past year
          • Prior to acceptance, the Dys exam through UNA is required along with acceptance; must be completed within 24-48 hours; it's pass or fail and they get 2 attempts
          • A screenshot showing the number of attempts is required
          • We can accept the Relias Dys exam within the last 12 months if the traveler has previously taken
